Ghost Hunt – Dower House. Deposit option available Within the grounds of Boughton sits the Dower House, a 17th-century House that has been locked up for 30 years and fallen into disuse. Over the years, it has been used for many films, including Les Misérables (2012). It offers a unique opportunity to explore this time capsule, complete with its numerous rooms, attics, stairwells, and passageways. Haunted Heritage has been granted exclusive access to conduct its first-ever paranormal investigation. Is it haunted? Staff have reported numerous strange phenomena. Now inhabited primarily by the ghosts and spirits that remain here, footsteps are often heard approaching, but no one ever appears. Dark figures have been seen on the staircase, and shapes move quickly from room to room. What awaits us? On our first visit, there was a real sense of somebody watching us as we wandered through the empty and derelict rooms. Join us as we venture into the unknown… at the Dower house.
