HauntSeek is a trading name of The Lady In The Bay Window Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16417829, whose registered office is at 158 Hemper Lane, Sheffield, S8 7FE.

These Terms apply when you browse HauntSeek, create a My HauntSeek account or buy a My HauntSeek membership. “HauntSeek”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company trading as HauntSeek.

HauntSeek is a UK discovery and comparison platform for ghost hunts, paranormal investigations, ghost walks, haunted overnight stays and related experiences. We help visitors find and compare events and normally do not sell or supply the event ticket.

When you follow a booking link, you normally leave HauntSeek and buy from the relevant event operator. The ticket and event contract is between you and that operator. This distinction does not exclude any responsibility that legally remains ours.

Information may come from operators, authorised feeds or APIs, operator-approved sources and publicly available facts. Partners may authorise use of their descriptions, branding and imagery. Non-partner descriptions may be independently written or summarised by HauntSeek from public facts.

Dates, prices, availability, restrictions and booking conditions can change. Confirm material details on the operator’s booking page before purchasing. If you spot an error, use the reporting link on the event page or contact us; we will review correction or removal requests promptly.

Booking links may contain tracking or referral information so we can measure visits sent to operators. A click alone is not proof of a purchase. HauntSeek may receive commission from a participating operator when a qualifying booking is attributed to us. This does not add a HauntSeek fee for you unless one is expressly disclosed before purchase.

The operator remains responsible for ticket sales and fulfilment, event delivery, cancellations or rescheduling, refunds, customer service, venue rules, accessibility information, health and safety, insurance, age restrictions and event-specific terms.

Provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, do not allow misuse of your account and tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. We may proportionately restrict, suspend or terminate accounts for serious misuse, unlawful activity, security risk or material breach, giving reasonable notice where appropriate. You may delete your account, subject to section 15.

My HauntSeek accounts and paid memberships are intended for people aged 18 or over. Operators may set different age restrictions for individual events, so check before booking. This does not mean every listed event is legally restricted to adults.

Members can use a Paranormal Passport, save future events and keep investigation journals, photos, EVP/audio, external video links, personal scare ratings and, on eligible paid plans, uploaded private video.

Evidence is private by default. A member may deliberately select supported details or a photo for a member-controlled stamp or investigation share card; content left unselected remains private. EVP/audio cannot currently be placed on share cards.

My HauntSeek allows members to store investigation notes and upload evidence including photographs, audio recordings, video footage and links as part of their private investigation records. Members are responsible for all content they upload, store or submit.

Members must only upload content they have the lawful right to possess and store. HauntSeek must not be used to upload, store or submit:

• child sexual abuse material or content that sexually exploits or abuses a child;
• non-consensual intimate images or recordings;
• pornographic or sexually explicit material;
• content depicting or promoting sexual violence or exploitation;
• content infringing privacy, copyright or other legal rights;
• malicious files, malware or content intended to compromise a system; or
• content connected with criminal activity or otherwise unlawful to possess, store or distribute in the United Kingdom.

Private investigation evidence is intended for legitimate paranormal investigation and related personal record-keeping. It is not made publicly available through HauntSeek and is not intended to be accessible to other members. Our systems and authorised service providers may process it where technically necessary to provide, secure, maintain or legally operate the service, investigate misuse or respond to a lawful request.

We do not routinely monitor private investigation evidence. If we become aware of content that breaches these Terms, creates a security or safety risk or may be unlawful, we may restrict or remove it, suspend or terminate the account, preserve information where legally required and report or disclose it to competent authorities where required or permitted by law.

Members must not use private storage to conceal, preserve, distribute or facilitate unlawful material or activity. By uploading, a member confirms that the upload complies with these requirements.

You retain ownership of content you upload. You give us a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, store, process, transcode, secure and play or display it back to you; create a share card when you request one; and otherwise technically operate the service. We do not claim ownership of your investigation evidence.

HauntSeek branding, website design, original descriptions and other material we create remain ours or our licensors’. Event names, trade marks, logos and authorised partner assets remain with their respective rights holders.

The paid My HauntSeek membership contract is between you and The Lady In The Bay Window Ltd trading as HauntSeek. Stripe processes payments on our behalf. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.

The features, billing frequency and price shown during checkout form part of your purchase information. The price displayed at checkout is the total membership price charged, subject to anything expressly disclosed before purchase. HauntSeek is not currently VAT registered and does not add VAT on top of the displayed membership price.

Monthly and yearly plans renew for the selected period until cancelled. You can manage or cancel through Billing. Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access continues until the end of the period already paid for, then the account returns to Starter.

Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory cancellation or consumer right that applies to you. Subscribing, uploading evidence or beginning to use HauntSeek does not by itself amount to an automatic waiver of a statutory 14-day cancellation right. To ask about cancellation or a refund, contact us promptly at hello@hauntseek.co.uk. This is separate from cancelling future renewals through Billing.

When a qualifying paid plan ends, existing uploaded video is retained for 30 days so you can watch and save it. Download anything you wish to keep before the displayed deadline. After that grace period, eligible Cloudflare Stream footage is automatically deleted and may be permanently unrecoverable.

Ending a paid video plan does not automatically delete Passport entries, journals, photos, audio, external video links or unrelated account information. Restarting an eligible plan before the deadline keeps the uploaded video in place. A downloaded copy may not match the quality of the original upload.

Important for paid members: deleting a HauntSeek account does not currently cancel an active Stripe subscription. Cancel the paid membership through Billing before deleting your account. Do not assume account deletion stops future subscription billing.

Using Delete my account permanently removes the member account and associated private My HauntSeek information according to the implemented deletion process. Anonymous or aggregated operational records that no longer identify you may remain, and records may be retained independently where needed for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes. Stripe may retain its own transaction and accounting records independently.

We may carry out maintenance, updates and security work, respond to technical interruptions, or make proportionate service changes. We do not promise uninterrupted availability. We will give reasonable notice of material changes where appropriate and this does not remove responsibilities that legally remain ours.

We are not responsible for an operator’s performance of its separate ticket or event contract, including its delivery, cancellation, refund or venue decisions. We remain responsible for our own obligations where the law says we are.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Complaints about ticket fulfilment, event delivery, cancellation or refunds should normally go to the event operator as seller. Complaints about HauntSeek, My HauntSeek membership, our services or privacy can be sent to hello@hauntseek.co.uk.

We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal or regulatory changes. We will publish the updated date and give reasonable notice of material changes where appropriate. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already accrued.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will normally have jurisdiction, but consumers retain any right under applicable law to use another court or rely on mandatory protections available where they live.
