Famous Ghost The most famous haunting is that of Lady Jane Middleton, known as the ‘White Lady’. It is said she was paralysed in an accident and confined to her room, where she eventually died. She has been seen roaming the corridors, particularly near the grand staircase, as a glowing white light.
