Situated along Clarence Street in Pontypool, Wales, the Hanbury Arms is a former coaching inn built in the 1830s by the influential Hanbury family. Developed from a vital public house for local industrial workers, it later became a Victorian Magistrate’s and Coroner’s Court, featuring a prisoner holding cell and temporary mortuary. Today it is one of South Wales' most actively haunted destinations to investigate. Transformed into the Haunted Hanbury Arms Hotel & Museum, the site gained national fame in September 2012 when renovation workers fled due to terrifying poltergeist activity and dark shadow figures witnessed. Its complex historical layers foster a wide array of reported phenomena, ranging from playful Victorian child spirits and the apparition of the Black Lady, to ghostly footsteps and a sinister cloaked shadow figure lurking in the creepy stone cellar. The building is a deeply charged epicenter for unexplained paranormal activity, so just what or who will we encounter on this spooky night? Single Beds with bottom sheets and pillows are provided along with Extra Camp Beds, but YOU MUST BRING bring your own bedding necessities like quilts, blankets, sleeping bags etc. Toiletries and Towels are NOT provided by the venue, so please make sure to bring your own for the following morning. Join us as we investigate this unique haunted location using a variety of different paranormal equipment, such as EMF Meters, REM Pods, Spirit Boxes and Detectors, plus our own senses as we attempt to find out what spirits still roam this site. We will be using methods like Victorian Table Tipping, Ouija Boards and the Estes Method, as well as utilising other equipment and techniques throughout the night in an attempt to communicate with the spirits of the Hanbury Arms Hotel & Museum.
