Haunted Hanbury Arms

No dates are listed at Haunted Hanbury Arms right now.

The Hanbury Arms, on the banks of the River Usk at Caerleon near Pontypool, has a main range dating from the sixteenth century, probably around 1565, with a rear wing rebuilt in the early eighteenth century. It began as a house, known as Ty Glyndwr, before becoming an inn serving Caerleon Quay in the seventeenth century, when one of its rooms also served for a time as a magistrate's court. Little external change has occurred since an early nineteenth-century rewindowing. The building is listed at Grade II by Cadw, reflecting its long and varied documented history at the southern entrance to Caerleon.
