You might be away for a few days, just like we were in Cornwall, and there could be a ghost walk, paranormal investigation, haunted location or other spooky event just a few miles away that you simply don’t know exists.

Maybe it’s Friday night and you’re wondering what you could do over the weekend.

Perhaps you’ve been interested in the paranormal for years and you’re looking for your next ghost hunt.

Maybe you want to investigate somewhere you’ve never visited before.

Or perhaps you’re completely new to this weird and wonderful world and don’t know where to begin.

Wouldn’t it be useful if there were one place where you could look?

That idea became HauntSeek.

HauntSeek (HauntSeek.co.uk) is a UK paranormal events and discovery website created to help people find ghost hunts, paranormal investigations, ghost walks and other spooky events, as well as fascinating haunted locations across the UK.

But I don’t want HauntSeek to simply be a list of events.

I want it to bring together the weird and wonderful world of the paranormal in one place.

That could mean an overnight ghost hunt inside a historic building, a paranormal investigation, a ghost walk around an old city, a psychic night, a paranormal talk, a theatre show or simply discovering a fascinating haunted location you’ve never heard of before.

Whether you’re looking for something unusual to do while you’re away, searching for paranormal events near home or planning your next investigation, my aim is for HauntSeek to help you find it.

My own journey into the paranormal actually started much closer to home.

I’ve written two books about the experiences surrounding my own reportedly haunted home. To my amazement, both went on to become Amazon bestsellers.

I still don’t really consider myself a writer.

But then again, I don’t consider myself a website designer either — and somehow I’ve managed to go out and build HauntSeek and turn an idea I had on holiday into something real.

As my involvement in the paranormal world grew, I also started my own paranormal investigation team, Beyond the Bay Window, a nod to the two books and the experiences that started this rather unexpected journey.

Starting my own investigation team also got me thinking about what people actually need when they become involved in paranormal investigating.

Finding an investigation or event is only the beginning.

What happens to everything you discover afterwards?

When you investigate somewhere, you can come home with all sorts of things.

Notes.
Photographs.
Videos.
Audio recordings.
EVPs.
And sometimes something you can’t quite explain.

That’s why I created My HauntSeek — your private online paranormal journal.

Every registered HauntSeek user gets access to My HauntSeek — their own private online paranormal journal.

After attending a ghost hunt, paranormal investigation or event, you can use My HauntSeek to record what happened, make notes about your experiences and securely store your photographs, videos and EVP recordings together in one place.

Over time, My HauntSeek becomes your own personal paranormal history — a record of the locations you’ve visited, investigations you’ve taken part in and evidence you’ve collected along the way.

Over the past few years, I’ve unexpectedly found myself becoming part of the paranormal community.

What I’ve discovered is a genuinely passionate group of people.

There are investigators, historians, event organisers, paranormal teams, YouTube creators and people who simply have a fascination with things we don’t completely understand.

Some are believers.

Some are sceptics.

Some sit somewhere in the middle.

But so many share the same thing: a desire to ask questions, investigate and find the truth.

That’s the community I want HauntSeek to serve.

My hope is that HauntSeek.co.uk grows into a one-stop destination for people interested in the paranormal across the UK.

A place where you can discover your next ghost hunt, overnight investigation, ghost walk, psychic night, paranormal talk, theatre show, haunted location or something completely unexpected.

I also realise that not everybody can get out and attend paranormal events or investigations.

You might have difficulty travelling, live somewhere without many events nearby, not fancy spending the night wandering around an old building in the dark — which is entirely understandable — or simply prefer watching other people do it from the comfort of your sofa.

So I wanted HauntSeek to have something for you too.

HauntSeek includes a section dedicated to UK paranormal investigation teams and paranormal YouTube channels, helping you discover investigators and creators from around the country.

And if you have absolutely no idea who to watch or where to start?

There’s always Spin the Planchette.

It’s strange to think that all of this can be traced back to a holiday in Cornwall.

One leaflet took us to Bodmin Jail.

Another took us to Jamaica Inn.

I don’t know exactly where HauntSeek will eventually lead, but I know what I want it to become: a place built for people who enjoy history, haunted locations, paranormal investigations and all the weird and wonderful things that come with them.
