Bridgwater Ghost Walk

About this event

Explore the hidden side of Bridgwater on a guided ghost walk uncovering the stories, folklore and unusual accounts woven into this historic Somerset town. With a past shaped by industry, rebellion and centuries of local tradition, Bridgwater offers an atmospheric backdrop for an evening of storytelling and exploration. Led by an Extours host, you'll hear researched tales of reported sightings, forgotten histories and the people whose stories still echo through the town's older streets. Guests may choose to take part in optional paranormal investigation using EMF meters, dowsing rods and other recognised tools, or simply enjoy the atmosphere as the walk unfolds. Our walks do not use jump scares or gimmicks — we focus on genuine history, exploration and mysteries designed to leave you intrigued rather than frightened. Age Guidance – Early walks are family-friendly and open to under-16s (recommended age 8+). – Later evening walks are 16+ to offer an adults-only experience. Weather Events run in most conditions. If severe weather makes the walk unsafe, we will postpone and offer an alternative date. Atmospheric, engaging and rooted in Bridgwater's unique heritage, this ghost walk offers a memorable way to experience the town after dark.
