A unique and immersive Extours experience after dark We're proud to introduce Bristol: Riots, Rebellion & Restless Spirits — a powerful new way to experience the city at night. Bristol is a city shaped by upheaval. From medieval disorder and civic executions to maritime power, political protest and the fires of the 1831 Reform Riots, this is a place where conflict has never been far from the surface. The harbourside brought wealth and industry — but also tension, injustice and stories that still linger in the streets. This experience explores that unrest. Beginning in the historic heart of the city, we trace Bristol's long relationship with rebellion — through crowded markets, dockside taverns, bridges once stained with violence and squares where authority was openly challenged. Along the way, we uncover the human stories at the centre of it all — the rioters, reformers, sailors, merchants and ordinary citizens who shaped the city's darker chapters. Woven throughout are the locations long associated with unexplained encounters — buildings and spaces said to carry memory, atmosphere and the restless echoes of the past. Founded in 2022, Extours has grown rapidly across the South West by creating immersive walking experiences rooted in research, atmosphere and historical accuracy. Rather than theatrical performance, we focus on depth, authenticity and meaningful engagement — an approach that continues to earn outstanding feedback across the region. During the walk, guests are guided through Bristol after dark, stopping at significant historic sites to explore its long history of rebellion and unrest. At selected points, there is the opportunity to use authentic paranormal investigation equipment to explore reported activity. Participation is entirely optional. This is not simply a ghost walk. It is Bristol through its unrest — riots, rebellion and restless spirits. Important Information Earlier Session: Family-friendly. Later Session: 16+ (darker themes). Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. This is an outdoor walking experience and goes ahead in all weather unless deemed unsafe. Please dress appropriately and wear suitable footwear. Group sizes are limited and early booking is recommended.
