Devizes Ghost Walk

About this event

Explore Devizes after dark on a guided ghost walk uncovering the town's hidden stories, old folklore and long-standing accounts of the unexplained. With its medieval streets, historic inns and centuries of unusual happenings, Devizes offers an evocative setting for an evening of storytelling and discovery. Led by an Extours host, you'll hear carefully researched tales linked to the town's past — from curious encounters and lingering legends to stories rooted in Devizes' winding lanes and historic buildings. Guests may also choose to take part in optional paranormal investigation using EMF meters, dowsing rods and other recognised tools, or simply enjoy the atmosphere as the night unfolds. Our walks avoid gimmicks and jump scares; we aim to intrigue rather than terrify by exploring the genuine mysteries woven into Devizes' character. Age Guidance – Early walks are family-friendly and open to under-16s (recommended age 8+). – Later evening walks are 16+ to offer an adults-only experience. – Well-behaved dogs are welcome on all walks. Weather Walks run in most conditions. If severe weather makes the experience unsafe, we will postpone and offer an alternative date. Immersive, atmospheric and rooted in Devizes' rich heritage, this ghost walk offers a memorable way to explore the town's lesser-known stories after dark.
