Behind the colourful waterfront and picturesque streets lies a much older town — shaped by war, dangerous voyages, maritime trade, tragedy and lives spent at the mercy of the sea. Join Extours for a 90-minute journey through Dartmouth after dark, combining fascinating local history with ghost stories, folklore and an interactive exploration of the paranormal. As your host leads you from the historic waterfront into Dartmouth's old streets, discover stories of the people and events that shaped this remarkable harbour town. Hear tales from its maritime past alongside darker episodes, local legends and accounts of strange encounters and reported unexplained activity. There are no actors, costumes or staged scares. Instead, the Dartmouth Ghost Walk combines carefully researched storytelling and real historic locations with an opportunity to explore the paranormal for yourself. At selected points during the walk, guests can take part in optional paranormal experiments using recognised ghost-hunting equipment. Participation is entirely optional, and you are equally welcome to observe.
