Join Extours for a 90-minute journey through Oxford after dark, combining fascinating local history with ghost stories, folklore and an interactive exploration of the paranormal. As your host leads you through the historic streets of Oxford, discover stories of the people who once lived, studied and worked here, alongside accounts of mysterious encounters, unexplained events and reported paranormal activity. From centuries-old tragedies to strange happenings in some of the city's most atmospheric locations, uncover a side of Oxford that is rarely seen during the day. There are no actors, costumes or staged scares. Instead, this experience is built around carefully researched storytelling, real locations and the opportunity to explore some of the paranormal claims for yourself. At selected points during the walk, guests can take part in optional paranormal experiments using recognised ghost-hunting equipment. Participation is entirely optional, and you are equally welcome to observe.
