Langport Ghost Walk

About this event

Langport Ghost Walk Discover the darker side of one of Somerset's most historic towns on the Langport Ghost Walk. Set above the Somerset Levels and shaped by centuries of trade, conflict and changing fortunes, Langport has a history stretching back well over a thousand years. Its ancient streets, historic buildings and riverside setting provide the backdrop for stories from the town's past — including local folklore, unusual events and tales of reported hauntings. Join your Extours host for a 90-minute journey through Langport after dark, exploring carefully researched history alongside the legends and ghost stories connected with the town and the people who once lived here. This isn't a theatrical scare attraction. There are no actors and no staged scares. Instead, the Langport Ghost Walk combines history and storytelling with an interactive exploration of the paranormal. At selected locations along the route, your host may introduce optional paranormal experiments using recognised ghost-hunting equipment, giving you the opportunity to take part and see what — if anything — happens.
