Launceston Ghost Walk

About this event

Explore Launceston after dark on a guided ghost walk uncovering the stories, folklore and unusual accounts woven into one of Cornwall's most historic towns. With its medieval castle, narrow streets and centuries of turbulent history, Launceston provides an evocative backdrop for an evening of atmospheric storytelling and hands-on exploration. Guided by an Extours host, you'll hear researched tales of strange encounters, local legends and long-standing accounts connected to the town's oldest areas. Guests may choose to join the optional paranormal investigation using EMF meters, dowsing rods and other recognised tools, or simply enjoy the atmosphere as the walk unfolds. Our experiences avoid gimmicks and jump scares — we focus on meaningful exploration and mysteries designed to leave you intrigued rather than terrified. Age Guidance – Early walks are family-friendly and open to under-16s (recommended age 8+). – Later evening walks are 16+ to offer an adults-only experience. – Well-behaved dogs are welcome on all walks. Weather Our walks continue in most conditions. If severe weather makes the event unsafe, we will postpone and offer an alternative date. Immersive, atmospheric and rooted in Launceston's distinctive heritage, this ghost walk offers a memorable way to explore the town's lesser-known stories after dark.
