With its medieval streets, ancient buildings and the shadow of the Abbey, Sherborne offers an atmospheric setting for an evening of storytelling and discovery. Led by an Extours host, you'll hear carefully researched tales of unusual events, curious characters and lingering legends connected to the town's oldest corners. As we move through historic lanes and past sites tied to strange reports, you'll gain a deeper sense of the stories that continue to shape Sherborne's reputation. Guests may also choose to take part in optional paranormal investigation using EMF meters, dowsing rods and other recognised tools — or simply enjoy the atmosphere as the walk unfolds. There are no gimmicks or jump scares; our aim is to intrigue rather than terrify, exploring the mysteries woven into Sherborne's past. Age Guidance – Early walks are family-friendly and open to under-16s (recommended age 8+). – Later evening walks are 16+ to offer an adults-only experience. – Well-behaved dogs are welcome on all walks. Weather Walks continue in most conditions. If severe weather makes the event unsafe, we will postpone and offer an alternative date.
