Explore Wareham after dark on a guided ghost walk uncovering the town's ancient history, riverside folklore and long-standing accounts of the unexplained. With its Saxon earthworks, medieval lanes and centuries of intriguing local stories, Wareham provides a striking backdrop for an evening of atmospheric discovery. Your Extours host will lead you through locations linked with unusual sightings, forgotten events and tales that have shaped Wareham's reputation over time. Along the way, guests may choose to take part in optional paranormal investigation using EMF meters, dowsing rods and other recognised tools — or simply enjoy the atmosphere and storytelling as the night unfolds. There are no gimmicks or jump scares; our aim is to intrigue rather than terrify by exploring the mysteries that linger in Wareham's past. Age Guidance – Early walks are family-friendly and open to under-16s (recommended age 8+). – Later evening walks are 16+ to offer an adults-only experience. – Well-behaved dogs are welcome on all walks. Weather Walks continue in most conditions. If severe weather creates unsafe circumstances, we will postpone and offer an alternative date.
