HauntSeek Independent Partner Plan Terms

Version IPP-1.0

1. Who we are

HauntSeek is operated by The Lady In The Bay Window Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16417829), registered office 158 Hemper Lane, Sheffield, S8 7FE (“HauntSeek”, “we”, “us”). Contact: hello@hauntseek.co.uk.

These terms apply to business operators (“you”) who subscribe to the Independent Partner Plan. They sit alongside the HauntSeek Operator/Partner Terms; where they conflict on fees or billing, these terms apply to your plan.

2. The plan

The Independent Partner Plan is a monthly subscription for providers whose booking systems cannot support automatic booking attribution. Customers book directly with you through your own booking system. HauntSeek is not the seller of your events.

Plans: up to 2 active events, £19.99 per month; up to 5 active events, £29.99 per month; up to 10 active events, £49.99 per month. There is no plan above 10 active events.

There is no free trial, free period or £0 version of the plan. Billing starts only when you explicitly confirm the subscription.

3. Commission

While you are validly on the plan, HauntSeek charges 0% booking commission. The plan and a HauntSeek commission partnership never run at the same time. Ending the plan does not place you on commission; any commission partnership needs a separate written agreement.

4. Active events and the event limit

Your limit is the number of active events shown publicly at one time. Past, ended, hidden, inactive, test and sandbox events do not count.

If you go over your limit, events that are already public are not removed. New events above the limit are held as “awaiting plan capacity” and are published when space becomes available (for example when an event finishes, or after a confirmed upgrade). HauntSeek never upgrades your plan or charges you more automatically because you add events.

5. Billing

The plan is billed monthly in advance through Stripe, starting when you confirm the subscription, and renews each month until cancelled. HauntSeek does not receive or store your full card details.

Upgrades: you choose and confirm an upgrade on the Manage your plan page. Stripe calculates any part-month amount and charges it straight away; the higher limit applies once that payment is confirmed. If the payment fails your plan stays as it was.

Downgrades: take effect from the start of your next billing period. Your current limit remains until then, and existing public events are not removed because of a downgrade.

Failed payments: Stripe retries automatically. Your listings are not hidden because a payment fails. If Stripe finally ends the subscription after unsuccessful retries, section 7 applies.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time on the Manage your plan page, through the Stripe billing page, or by emailing hello@hauntseek.co.uk. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term. Ordinary voluntary cancellation does not give a partial refund for the period already paid. You can reverse a cancellation before the paid period ends by choosing “Keep my plan”.

6A. Manage your plan links

Plan emails contain a secure Manage your plan link, unique to your plan, which works for 30 days. If a link has expired you can request a new one on the Manage your plan page by entering the business email address we hold for your plan; the new link is sent only to that address. Requesting a link does not change your plan. Payment details are updated on a short-lived secure Stripe page opened from the Manage your plan page each time you need it. An ended plan cannot be restarted from a Manage link.

7. When the plan ends

When the subscription has actually ended, your operator profile and events stop being shown publicly. Nothing is deleted. Visibility can be restored if a new partnership or subscription is later agreed. An ended plan is never restarted automatically.

8. Content

Subscribing gives HauntSeek no extra rights to your content. Logos, images and descriptions are used only as permitted in your opt-in form or other written permission.

9. No guarantees

HauntSeek does not guarantee any level of traffic, clicks, bookings, revenue, search visibility or ranking.

10. Changes to these Terms and the Plan

We may update these Terms or the operation of the Independent Partner Plan from time to time.

Where a change materially affects your subscription, event allowance, recurring monthly price or other material contractual rights, we will give you reasonable advance notice in writing before the change takes effect.

If we propose to increase your recurring monthly subscription price, we will tell you in advance and explain when the new price would apply. Where your agreement or applicable law requires your agreement to the new price, we will obtain it before charging the increased amount. We will not silently move you to a higher-priced plan, and section 4 continues to apply: adding events never upgrades your plan automatically.

You may cancel your subscription before a notified change takes effect. Cancellation works as described in section 6: your plan continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, with no cancellation fee.

We may make changes without the normal advance-notice period where reasonably necessary to comply with law or regulatory requirements, address fraud, abuse or security risks, correct an obvious error, or deal with an urgent technical or operational issue. Where appropriate, we will tell affected operators as soon as reasonably practicable.

Changes will not retrospectively alter amounts already properly paid or commission arrangements that applied before the change.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing in them limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

How we handle Independent Partner billing information is explained in our Privacy & Cookies Policy.
