Inveraray Jail occupies the former county buildings and court house at Crown Point in Inveraray, Argyll and Bute. The court house was designed by James Gillespie Graham, developing an 1807 scheme by Robert Reid, and was built between 1816 and 1820. It underwent restoration in 1965 and again in 1989, when it was adapted for use as a visitor attraction. The building is a Category A listed structure, while the adjoining Old Jail, added to the statutory list on 3 August 1966, is separately designated as Category B. Together the buildings form the historic court and jail complex at the heart of the burgh.
