No dates are listed at St. John's House right now.
St John's House stands on the site of the medieval Hospital of St John the Baptist in Warwick, established in the twelfth century. The present front of the house dates from around 1666, built for the Stoughton family, and is regarded as an important surviving example of its period. The house passed to the Earl of Warwick's family, who held it from 1788 to 1960, and it served as a private school between 1791 and 1881. It is a Grade I listed building, designated in March 1973. Since 1961 the house has housed Warwickshire's county museum, and it is now used for education, events and civic ceremonies.
