Tulloch Castle Hotel

Tulloch Castle near Dingwall in the Highlands originated as a 16th-century square tower house, to which wings and alterations were added over several centuries, including extensions by A. Maitland and Sons in 1891 and further work by the architect Sir Robert Lorimer between 1920 and 1922. The castle and its arched tunnel entrance are listed at Category B by Historic Environment Scotland. On the hill above stands Caisteal Gorach, a picturesque ruined-tower folly designed by Robert Adam in 1789-90, separately listed at Category A. The castle now operates as a hotel in Dingwall.
