Ordsall Hall, in Salford, is a Grade I listed timber-framed house that is substantially early sixteenth century in date, incorporating a great hall under construction by 1512. The manor passed to the Radclyffe family around 1335, and the family held Ordsall as their seat for more than three hundred years. The building gained further additions around 1639, and it was restored and extended in 1896-97 under the architect Alfred Derbyshire. First listed in January 1952, the hall survives today as a historic house open to the public, its timber framing and great hall remaining among the most notable features of its long architectural development.
