Penrhyn Old Hall

Penrhyn Old Hall stands near Llandudno on the site of a house first documented between 1536 and 1539. The surviving building is largely of sixteenth-century construction, with a south-west wing dating to around 1550 joined to a north-east wing bearing a fireplace dated 1590. The hall passed out of gentry ownership in 1760 and served for a time as a farmhouse, before being restored as a residence in the early twentieth century. It is recognised as a Grade II* listed building, a designation covering the house along with its forecourt wall, steps and mounting block, reflecting the special interest of its historic fabric.
