Wentworth Woodhouse

Wentworth Woodhouse, near Rotherham in South Yorkshire, is a Grade I listed country house set within a landscape of around 700 hectares. Its grounds are included on the Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest, recognising 18th- and 19th-century gardens and a park remodelled by Humphry Repton in the early 1790s, together with a set of early to mid-18th-century monuments and follies within and around its boundary. The house has featured on Historic England's Heritage at Risk register. Both the house and its surrounding designed landscape are formally protected as heritage assets of national importance.
