Bosworth Battlefield records the decisive conflict fought on 22 August 1485 between the armies of Richard III and Henry Tudor. The landscape is protected as a Registered Battlefield. Modern investigation has also changed how the site is understood: a multidisciplinary survey completed in 2012 placed the principal area of fighting beyond the traditional Ambion Hill interpretation site. The heritage centre and surrounding country park provide a base for exploring both the documented battle and the evidence that has refined its location.
