Donington Le Heath Manor House

Donington le Heath Manor House, near Coalville in Leicestershire, is a Grade II* listed building first listed in 1949. The surviving chamber block dates from around 1280, constructed of Charnwood granite rubble, and was substantially altered in the 17th century. By the 1960s the building had fallen into disrepair, at one stage being used as a pig sty, before undergoing restoration between 1966 and 1971. It subsequently opened to the public as a museum, now known as the 1620s House and Garden, presenting the building and its grounds in the style of the early 17th century.
