No dates are listed at Bursledon Brickworks right now.

Bursledon Brickworks, at Swanwick in Hampshire, was built in 1897 for brick manufacture, with a date of that year recorded on its chimney. The surviving buildings include a Staffordshire-type continuous kiln with ten chambers, drying sheds, a boiler house and an engine house, retaining an original horizontal steam engine of around 1885 built by John Wood of Wigan. The brick kiln, chimney, drying sheds, boiler and engine house are together designated Grade II* on the National Heritage List for England, a status conferred in January 1981. The site preserves a largely intact late-Victorian steam-powered brickmaking works within its original buildings and machinery.
