Hodroyd Hall

Hodroyd Hall at South Hiendley, near Barnsley, dates from the 17th century and was remodelled and enlarged in the 19th century. The house, built of coursed sandstone with an irregular plan formed around an earlier E-shaped range, is a Grade II listed building, listed on 11 May 1988. Originally a single residence, it is now divided into three separate dwellings. The hall's near-symmetrical west front, with its gabled wings and mullioned windows, reflects the successive phases of building recorded in its listing description.
