Ghost Hunts at Four Crosses

The Four Crosses Inn stands on Watling Street at Hatherton, near Cannock. Historic England lists it at Grade II, a designation first made in May 1953. Staffordshire County Council's heritage archive records that the timber-framed part of the building dates from 1636, that the left-hand range was added around 1700, and that the inn served as a coaching stop on the road between London and Ireland, with its busiest period in the eighteenth century.
