Ghost Hunts at Kelvedon Hatch

Kelvedon Hatch, near Brentwood in Essex, is the site of a Cold War bunker built in the early 1950s as a Sector Operations Centre for the RAF's ROTOR radar defence network. By the early 1960s the Home Office had converted the underground complex into a Regional Seat of Government, later redesignated a Regional Government Headquarters, with the role of administering the region in the aftermath of a nuclear attack. The bunker remained under Home Office control until the early 1990s, when it was decommissioned and sold back to the Parrish family, owners of the farmland above it. It has since been opened to the public as a museum focused on its Cold War history.
