Ghost Hunts at Middleton Hall

Middleton Hall, near Tamworth, is a Grade II* listed building first listed in January 1989. Its main house dates largely from the early 18th century but incorporates fabric of 14th- and 16th-century date, with substantial additions made in the early 19th century. The estate passed out of family ownership in the 1960s and fell into disrepair under later commercial owners before Middleton Hall Trust was established in 1980 to restore the buildings. The hall stands within a wider historic estate that includes a walled garden and lake, reflecting a long sequence of occupation and alteration recorded in its official listing.
